Product Description UMTS Router MX530

UMTS router MX530 – a consistent further development

The mdex Router MX530 is a router designed for commercial use and was specially developed for stable and reliable remote access to end devices via the mobile radio and DSL network. With HSPA, the UMTS router enables download data rates of up to 14 Mbps via the 3G mobile phone network. The combination of aluminium and plastic materials ensures a high-quality housing. Optimized for encrypted data communication, the router supports OpenVPN connections especially for professional requirements. The integrated 4-port switch allows the direct connection of several devices to the router. The MX530 can also be used as a WLAN router.

More power, more connectivity

  • HSPA (3G) allows download data rates of up to 14 Mbps and upload data rates of up to 5.76 Mbps.
  • Integrated 4-port switch (1x WAN, 3x LAN) for use as DSL router and direct connection of three LAN terminals.
  • Power is supplied either via plug-in power supply unit or connection cable with open ends, thus flexible connection of alternative power supply units, e.g. mdex DIN rail power supply unit.
  • Specially developed mdex firmware for a stable and reliable m2m data connection via mobile radio and DSL/cable Internet/satellite.

More user-friendliness, more functions

  • Wirelessly connect local devices to the Internet via WLAN router function
  • Simple web browser configuration via the intuitive mdex user interface
  • Switchable expert mode for extended configuration options. Custom startup and firewall scripts configurable.
  • SMS function allows control commands to be received and messages to be sent by terminals connected to the router, e.g. alarm SMS.

  • Encrypted data communication via OpenVPN
  • Optimized for stable VPN connections via mobile radio and DSL
  • Extensively configurable stateful inspection firewall
