Description – VPN router MX200
Stable and encrypted data transmission on industrial level
The mdex MX200 router adds an open VPN router for use on DSL, cable, fibre optic or satellite internet connections to the mdex AG product range. Thanks to separate WAN, LAN and WLAN interfaces, a flexible web configuration interface and a high-performance Linux operating system, a vast range of application scenarios are achievable, be it as a WLAN router on a (separately available) DSL modem, as an OpenVPN gateway or, in future, a WLAN client bridge.
More speed, more possibilities
The powerful 400 MHz MIPS main processor tirelessly lives up to professional m2m requirements and enables the use of increased OpenVPN encryption. The maximum OpenVPN data throughput has almost doubled compared with the predecessor model. With its wide temperature range of -20°C to +60°C and optional top-hat rail bracket, the device has the tools to meet industrial requirements, while retaining the ability to be used as a desktop device.
Unpack, connect, switch on
As standard with mdex products, the MX200 is delivered with plug-in mains adapter, (WLAN-)antenna and network cable included. In combination with the optimally-adapted products mdex fixed.IP+ and mdex public.IP, the mdex MX200 router enables reliable remote access to connected terminal devices.

Use as a VPN router for remote access
The mdex VPN router is designed as an add-on solution for encrypted remote access. In combination with the mdex IP services mdex IP-Services, mdex fixed.IP+ and mdex public.IP, the MX200 can be used as an add-on solution for existing mobile, DSL, cable or satellite ports.
If, for example, you are specifically on the look out for an access solution via a fixed public IP address for a pre-existing connection, we recommend that you use the mdex LTE Package. The fixed public IP address is already pre-installed on the mdex router, meaning that you can access your connected terminal device remotely. Simply have a look at the LTE Package produckt page for more information.

Do you want to ensure fail-safe accessibility of your LAN-capable devices accessible on your local network, but have no fixed internet connection at the installation site? The use of a professional WLAN router, such as the MX200, reduces maintenance efforts considerably and also enables usage in difficult-to-access areas such as basements or roofs. With extended temperature ranges and optional top-hat rail installation, the MX200 is also suitable for installation in control cabinets and operation while exposed to the influences of outdoor temperatures.
- Simple expansion of existing network
- LAN port-independent installation
- mdex components operational in just a few steps
Secure your mdex router and your connected terminal devices (example: IP camera) against third party access using password protection and update this regularly.
