Examples – LTE  router MX880

Use as a mobile router for remote access

The mdex MX880 mobile router allows you quick and uncomplicated remote access to connected terminal devices. Depending on your application case, simply activate one of the already pre-installed mdex SIM (Vodafone/Telekom) and combine this with our mdex IP services (fixed public or fixed private IP address). Then your connected terminal device will be remotely accessible in just a few short steps. You can of course use your own SIM cards or non-mdex IP services. You can easily view the individual set-up steps in the MX880 set-up indstructions (DE).

mdex installation support

Do you need support in the set-up of your MX880?

No problem. You can add installation support to your order for a one-off fee of € 48 (net).

Connection of several devices via LAN and WiFi

The mdex LTE MX880 router features four LAN ports (3x LAN, 1xWAN) as well as a WLAN module for terminal device connection. Simply connect your terminal devices to a free LAN socket on the MX880 using a network cable or connect it to the MX880 via WLAN. If you want to connect more than three terminal devices to the MX880 via LAN, you can also use an Ethernet switch. You can configure all the device functions via the input form in your web browser. Expert mode also allows you to activate, configure and control any other connection possibilities, such as, for example, serial interfaces (RS232 and RS485) if need be.

  • Connect, activate, access
  • Optimised for fail-safe and bandwidth-intensive data transmission
  • Easy start-up using set-up instructions (DE)

Our Tip

Secure your mdex router and your connected terminal devices (example: IP camera) against third party access using password protection and update this regularly.

Fail-safe data communication with dual SIM and WAN fallback

Are you dependent on high-availability data communication and require a fail-safe solution? No problem. The MX880 can act as a back-up solution for your DSL connection (WAN fallback) or, as a dual SIM router, can establish a high-availability mobile network connection to two different mobile network providers. If the configured primary connection fails, then the mdex Router automatically switch to the alternative mobile network connection.

Our Tip

Do you want to use the MX880 as a back-up solution and require support in the set-up? Simply add the optional installation support to your order and our support team will support you in setting your MX880 up as a fallback.
