Remote controlled signposting of motorway roadworks
Intelligent traffic control systems ensure that traffic does not grind to a halt at motorway roadworks. The precondition for this is continual adjustment to the actual volume of traffic and the corresponding data being fed in to the mobile traffic signs at the location.
Mobile-to-mobile communication
mdex allows you to link traffic signs to the control computers in mobile site containers using a mobile network making them accessible at all times and from all locations; a fixed landline is not required. The connection to the control computer at headquarters is also made using mobile networks (GPRS, EDGE, UMTS, HSPA). Mixed operation (SIM cards from multiple providers) is possible to facilitate complete network coverage.
mdex services
mdex provides the IP network required and facilitates secure mobile-to-mobile communications between the site container and the electronic signs as well as the monitoring system at the control centre via the mdexfixed.IP data service. All communications connections can be managed and monitored via the mdex Management Platform.
